When Gracie Came into the world

Well, hello everyone sorry I haven't written much lately, I haven't had a lot of time. I forgot to tell everyone how the birth went. I started getting contractions at 2:00am so we got up & did some cleaning, walking & squats, but they didn't get much closer so we went to bed & I was able to doze off & on. At 7:30am we called Mom & she came to the house to watch the kids. We got to the hospital at 9:00am & I was at 6. Jessica was at school & was headed to the hospital so we decided to wait till she got there to break my water. When she got there Stephanie (my midwife) was massaging my feet & when she was done it was about 11:00am so she broke my water & I was at 8. It didn't take long to get to 10 from there, but she had here head turned & wouldn't come down. So she finally came at 1:08pm right after a hard prayer from me. The Lord helped me tremendously & I couldn't have asked for a better delivery & John got to deliver her. This was my longest labor, 11 hours. She is just perfect 7lb 6oz & 19in. Now she is 2 weeks today & 8lb 12oz & still has her hair. She has had her days & nights straight from the beginning, so that has been wonderful & some times she will get 5 hours in. We are all doing great & are very happy to have Grace Ellouise home with us.

New Update

Hello everyone, I’m sorry it's taken me so long to give you an update . There's been a lot going on the last few weeks.
First off, John’s Aunt Rita died, after a year of fighting cancer, we had her funeral on Thursday Sep. 7th. Peter & Dorcas came back for the funeral & spent a week with us, we were able to do a lot of visiting. Sunday the 3rd we went to Jim & Annette’s house & ended up staying till 3:00 a.m.,(because the guys had started a game of Risk) we had alot of fun!! Then 2 weeks later on Sep. 17th Jim & Annette had the baby, William Grant, he is just adorable. On friday the 22nd I came down with a kidney infection (which was extremely painful). We had Rodney’s wedding to go to the next weekend, so I was a very discouraged I knew if I didn't get better I couldn't go anywhere. I started taking antibiotics on Sat. Sep 23rd, John took care of me that weekend. My mom came over during the week & took care of me & also the kids. On tuesday John’s mom took Isaac & Hannah home with her for two days. I was feeling much better by wednesday. On tuesday I went to the midwife & she said she didn’t want me driving that far, but that I was free to fly.
So my wonderful father offered to take us all down with his buddy passes (the last ones he had for the year). I flew down on thursday with mom, dad, Isaac & Hannah. Dad had to fly back to bring John & Jessica, because he has to be with us when we travel on his buddy passes. We were all there for the rehearsal, Isaac & Hannah were just adorable, they were the ring bearer & flower girl. It was so nice to see everyone, and we had a wonderful time. The wedding was so elegant and just flowed beautifully. It's so awesome to see Rodney and Melanie so happy and blessed. The people in Ohio are so happy to have him there and he loves the church and Bro. and Sis. Moore.
Everyone please keep me in your prayers, because I am still recovering, also keep Dorcas in your prayers, she has been having trouble with her kidneys, also. We are now back at home safe & sound. Thank you everyone for your prayers, they have helped me more then you’ll ever know.

It's a girl !!

This is from last week, I was 21 weeks. We found out it is a girl (her name will be Grace we are still not sure of the middle name). The kids were so excited to see her moving around on the ultrasound, Isaac said "Ohhh she is so tiny". We are back from Kansas City, we had a lot of fun. My Aunt Donise & Deborah came to see us & to spoil the kids. They drove with us to Branson & we got to see my Grandma Patton & Aunt Stephanie with her family. We went to some shows & of course Silver dollar City (John loved it) he hadn't been to Branson yet. It was a lot of fun, but it was still a little hot although Aunt Donise thought it was wonderful (in Texas it's still in the 100's). I wasn't able to take pictures because we lost our charger for the camera, but I will get some from Jessica & put them up soon.
